This block of Facebook by the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security follows China’s block of not only Facebook, but also Twitter and YouTube. Some speculated that the blockage by Vietnam could be due to being concerned that Facebook pages would be made that would allow citizens in Vietnam to be able to contact Vietnamese citizens who left the country after the war and these people are under suspicion by the government and therefore not individuals they want having contact with anyone. Blockage Affects Tourists, Expatriates

The Facebook blocks have also frustrated tourists and expatriates living in Vietnam who also can’t access Facebook in Vietnam on iPad or other items.
